all i want to do is take a nap then play xbox 360

unfortunately i don't have a xbox. dang.

well yesterday turned out to be pretty interesting. i had planned on not going to my dad's brother's house for 2 reasons:
1. i'm always the youngest person there, except jenny's son who is almost 3. everyone else is married or is my sibling. they are all out of college, except adrn who also decided not to go.
2. my uncle is starting to look a lot like my dad and they sound alike sometimes and i didn't feel like being sad.

too bad for me, my mother didn't think either of these excuses were valid and made me feel guilty enough to go for 2 hours.
so i got all dressed yesterday, then went outside to supervise john changing the brakes on my car. i had to pick adrn up from work in plymouth at 5, so i had to have my mom in howell at my uncle's by 4. so i dropped her off, went and picked up adrn, stopped and got her food so she would be able to eat, went back home, dropped her off, picked up john, and we went back out to howell. it was probably 7 by this point. the first hour i was there seemed to be exactly what i expected. then they started playing a bean bag toss game in the front yard. john and uncle gary teamed up and were kicking everyone's butts. mike and i went up against them and were winning for the first half of the game, then somehow uncle gary used all the powers of whiskey to make them win in the second half. the first to 21 and i think mike and i were still at 15? boo. i had taken my heels off to play in the grass, and i was wearing a dress. this wouldn't be problematic if every mosquito in MICHIGAN wasn't in their yard determined to cover my lower half with bites. then we left, came back home, and john and i continued to work on the explorer. my battery cables had been acid-ed to the battery and we were trying to get them off to replace it. apparently those mosquitos followed us home and i had to give up and go inside because i itched so bad.

morning count of bites: 18 so far. still counting.
